Continual Collaboration with Clients/Engineers

After a substantial search, I was selected over full time candidates from my graphic and communication skillset. I took on a range of projects under the direction of the principal covering schematic design to construction documentation. My background in building information modeling (BIM) led to the introduction of this workflow as their standard.

Landscape Architecture Intern_ The McGough Group – 2010-2011
Construction Documents
CD Revisions/ Submittals
Schematic Design
Presentation Graphics
Continual Collaboration with Architects/Engineers

With the design portfolio I had from my undergraduate program, I was selected by a firm in North Phoenix. Under the direction of the principal, I brought computer aided drafting (CAD) into the established offices workflow. Projects included master planning, open space park design and site design. As the firm grew my responsibilities increased to schematic design and development as well as presentation of quality proposals. Often I would work from the principal’s verbal instruction to revise for submittals under short deadlines.

Architecture Intern_ College of Design – 2006
Site Analysis/ Master Planning
Worked directly with Parks Department/ City of Phoenix
Ecology/ Hydrology Plans
Construction Documents for Site Amenities

After being selected by the architecture faculty for an internship position, I worked on a proposal to redevelop local city parks. The proposal included site analysis and future planning for Papago Park in Phoenix, AZ. Through its development, we designed a bench and an education trail. The new plan also included new planting design of native mesquite growth. It is being applied currently according to the proposed plan.
